The hero of the game was certainly the Kyiv "international" Yashkin, who was
honoured by a large photo, appearing in today's issue of "Komanda".Already
on the 7th minute he replied to the flank pass and laid the ball intothe
nearest corner. This was not the last bad news for one of the most
experienced Ukrainian keepers Viktor Gryshko: on the 85th min Yashkin 's
left-foot direct kick from the right corner of the box hits thecross-bar
and the ball jumps out from Gryshko into the goal. Odesa side wasshocked
but still searched for revenge. A 20 years-old defender Serhiy Tkachenko
catches the ball from Bagirov's pass and forwards it to the goal leaving
desperate Kernozenko a lame observer. During the next 5 min (added by
Onufer) the Kyiv's keeper nonetheless stood strong when ValentynStryzhakov
fired from the centre of the box after a nice chest stop. "SportyvnaGazeta"
also praises the activity of Bukel', Karyaka, Sobkovych, Mochulyak(Odesa)
as well as Makovsky, Konovalov and Serebrennykov (Kyiv).
One of the most interested observers on the game was the President ofthe FC
Cherkasy Olexandr Gurynovych. Any rumours of what he did there?
